His Story: The Origin of IAMFM
1985 The origins of “I AM” Fellowship Ministries, Inc. began in the heart of Drs. Michael Cecilia Jackson as they started a desktop publishing business called “I AM” Productions. The word of the Lord prophetically had come many times to them about their writing, publishing, and going forth to build and establish the Kingdom of God. Through “I AM” Productions, they authored, illustrated, and produced several books. God caused the ministry to expand and allowed them to preach, teach, sing, minister healing, and prophesy the word of the Lord in many states and abroad.
1994 was the year of their move. God appointed them to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama. This was a great step of faith because they had no housing or jobs to go to with their young family. God provided all they needed there, yet Huntsville was not to be the final settling place for this ministry. The Lord spoke again for them to return to Cincinnati, Ohio, and set up the ministry. God had bought them “out” of the old to bring them into the next level.
1996 “I AM” Fellowship Ministries was incorporated in February and worship services began the next month in their home. Over 15 years, God added souls to the church from all backgrounds, each with a heart to live and serve Him. Their constant focus was to see that every member was taught, coached, encouraged, and released to develop their ministry for service in His Kingdom.
2008, God revealed to Dr. Michael to release the well-trained members of the church to go where God was calling them to serve as he heard the Lord say, “Re-position to ascend to the next phase of your journey.” This was a tough decision, but God reminded them of how He had consistently led and guided them throughout the years.
2009 – Present Day The Wind of the Holy Spirit began to blow open doors beyond the surrounding states. During their brief retreat from pastoring, God caused many divine connections, relationships developed, and the apostolic mantle to cover churches and itinerate ministries manifested. In addition, they joined an international apostolic team where they were connected to their apostolic father and connected with the nations. They were ordained and commissioned as apostles by a presbytery team representing 15 nations and have been operating in apostolic ministry since then. They continue to write and have published over 50 books. They speak globally and have founded the “I AM” College of Ministry, The Spiritual Doula & Midwife Academy, The Building Effective Families and Leaders Institute, and The English and Writing Locksmith Training Center.
